We are currently focused on MENA region, particularly Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and India, where rapid economic upturn and urbanization piles more pressure on existing power supply installations, and governments are investing heavily to add new capacities, with coal gradually coming up as a viable option.

Coal-fired power plants, being constructed in UAE, Egypt, Morocco, as well as existing cement capacities, will remain key drivers of coal consumption increase in MENA region in the near future. Imports in Egypt are expected to exceed 12 mtpa by 2030, driven by continued upsurge in the cement industry and by new demand from the power sector. Morocco's thermal coal imports are expected to rise from 9 mtpa in 2019 to about 11 mtpa by the early 2020s.
